Textbooks that could potentially be used in Fayette County schools are available for public inspection and comment through March 16 when the Board of Education is expected to make decisions about the books.

Recommended English/Language Arts textbooks for grades 6-12 are on display in the lobbies of the Fayette County Board of Education (210 Stonewall Avenue, Fayetteville) and the LaFayette Educational Center, building “B,” (205 LaFayette Avenue, Fayetteville).

The textbooks can be viewed at these locations from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The books can also be viewed at school. The recommended middle school textbooks are available in the media center of each middle school, and high school recommended textbooks are available in the media center of each high school.

Public comments regarding the textbooks can be made electronically at www.goo.gl/7K92Kj (please note that letters in the link to the online form are case sensitive). Paper forms are also available at each viewing site.

The Fayette County Board of Education is expected to vote on the recommended textbooks at its regular business meeting on March 16.
