Peachtree City police are asking for help locating two males who left with a woman’s money after they arrived at her home soliciting a donation and after she drove them to a local ATM to get the cash.
Peachtree City police on the department’s Facebook page issued a BOLO (be on the look-out), asking residents to be on the lookout for two males ages 17-20 — one white male 5’10” in height, last seen wearing a black hoodie, black hat and blue jeans, and a black male 6’0”in height, last seen wearing blue jeans and a tan hoodie with the sleeves of the hoodie dark in color.
The incident occurred in the area of Balmoral Village and Crosstown Road at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday.
The Peachtree City Police Facebook page said this: “Two males knocked on the door of the victim stating that they were taking donations. The suspects convinced the victim to make the donation in cash by going to a local ATM. Once at the ATM, and after the victim entered her PIN, she was forced out of the way, the suspects took the money out of the ATM and fled.”
The Peachtree City Police news release on the city website said this: “Two young looking males knocked on the door of the victim stating that they were taking donations. The victim voluntarily drove the suspects to a local ATM. After arriving at the ATM, and the money removed, the victim drove the suspects back to her apartment complex, where the suspects left on foot.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these suspects is asked to call 911 or use the department’s anonymous TipSoft line http://www.peachtree-city.org/index.aspx?NID=1028.
Referencing aggressive solicitors, the BOLO asked residents to “call 911 on solicitors without permits who knock on your door unannounced.”
