New Senoia market opens Nov. 27 with free admission, local vendors, German food, holiday shopping and family entertainment

A beloved holiday tradition is coming to Senoia for the first time this Christmas season. The Atlanta Christkindl Market will debut its new Senoia location on Black Friday, Nov. 27, bringing an authentic German Christmas market to Atlanta’s Southside and creating a new holiday destination just off historic Main Street.

Located at 158 Seavy Street, the Senoia Christkindl Market will run through Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, offering free admission and a cozy, storybook holiday experience featuring artisan vendors, handcrafted gifts, traditional German food, local makers and family-friendly entertainment.

The new market is part of the Atlanta Christkindl Market’s expansion to two metro Atlanta locations in 2026. The organization’s Lawrenceville market returns Nov. 20 following a record-breaking first season in Gwinnett County.

“We had such extraordinary success in Lawrenceville last year that we thought it was time to expand to a second metro Atlanta location,” said Marco Foelske, COO of GA Events Corp., which operates the markets. “We’re excited to bring the Christkindl Market to Senoia, which offers a Hallmark movie feel in a lovely area just off Main Street. While both markets celebrate the same authentic German Christmas traditions, each will offer its own unique holiday experience.”

A Christmas Market Designed for Senoia

The Senoia Christkindl Market is designed to complement the city’s small-town character and picturesque downtown setting. Located just off Main Street in a tree-lined area, the market will feature approximately 50 booths representing about 35 carefully curated vendors.

A traditional 15- to 20-foot German Christmas pyramid will serve as the market’s centerpiece, creating a festive gathering place as visitors stroll among artisan vendors and explore Senoia during the holiday season.

“In Senoia, the city is the destination for visitors, not just our market,” Foelske said. “We are practically embedded into Main Street, allowing guests to experience the magic of both the Christkindl Market and one of Georgia’s most charming small towns. It’s a completely different experience than Lawrenceville, but every bit as authentic.”

German Tradition Meets Local Holiday Shopping

Since 2016, the Atlanta Christkindl Market has introduced generations of families to the centuries-old German Christmas market tradition through authentic food, handcrafted gifts, artisan vendors and festive holiday entertainment.

Senoia visitors will be able to shop for unique holiday gifts, ornaments, décor, jewelry, toys and other handcrafted items while enjoying traditional German specialties including chimney cakes, bratwurst, raclette, roasted nuts, hot chocolate and Glühwein.

Many of the market’s favorite vendors will participate in both the Senoia and Lawrenceville locations, while local artisans unique to Senoia and its surrounding community will give the new market its own personality.

The result will be a holiday experience that combines the traditions of a German Weihnachtsmarkt with the charm of shopping, dining and exploring Senoia.

A New Holiday Destination for the Southside

The Senoia debut gives residents of Senoia, Coweta County, Fayette County, Peachtree City and surrounding communities a new opportunity to experience the Atlanta Christkindl Market close to home.

With free admission and a location within easy walking distance of Senoia’s historic downtown, the market is designed to be part of a broader holiday outing for families, friends and visitors.

Whether guests come to shop for one-of-a-kind gifts, enjoy German holiday food, take in the Christmas atmosphere or explore Senoia, the new Christkindl Market will offer a distinctly local way to celebrate the season.
