PEACHTREE CITY, GA. (Sept. 17, 2026) – Public visiting days for the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Airbase Georgia are being changed, effective Sept. 21, to improve convenience for guests. The new schedule is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. the first Sunday of each month. Docent tours begin at 10 a.m. Admission is free.

The previous schedule was Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday each week.

“We are an all-volunteer organization, which includes our museum docents,” said Airbase Leader Mark Richards. “This new schedule will provide the same number of visitor days, plus the extra Sunday afternoon each month. Airbase Georgia will provide the same quality tours and make visits more convenient for weekend travelers.”

About the CAF Airbase Georgia Warbird Museum
CAF Airbase Georgia, based in Peachtree City, Ga., was founded in 1987. The Airbase is one of the largest units of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF). The group maintains and flies seven vintage military aircraft including a P-51 Mustang, an SBD Dauntless, a P-63A Kingcobra, a PT-19 Cornell, a T-34 Mentor and a Stearman biplane. Two additional aircraft, an FG-1D Corsair and a P-47 Thunderbolt, are undergoing restoration. The Airbase, composed of more than 300 volunteer members, is a founding partner of the Georgia WWII Heritage Trail launched in 2021. The Airbase is part of the CAF, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that relies on contributions of time and funds to conduct its mission. For more information, go to https://airbasegeorgia.org/.
