0Members of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone celebrated the amazing life of their 103-year-old member, Lamar Wallace (center), on Wednesday, Nov. 19. The theme for the event was”Oklahoma,” because that is his home state. Wallace is flanked by David and Debbie Hamby who were instrumental in organizing the event. Debbie co-chaired the event with Marilyn Ellis and Sharon Collins, all of Tyrone. A Delta Air Lines employee group, called “Cabin Jammers” provided some toe tapping Bluegrass music for the evening that included a meal, entertainment, and a huge birthday cake.
