A 23-year-old Tyrone resident was killed in a Nov. 19 traffic accident in Fayetteville. The accident is under investigation.
Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said an investigation is underway into the death of Tyrone resident Charis Walker and the injury of two others.
Walker in her Toyota Camry was crossing Ga. Highway 54 East from Cobblestone Boulevard to Weatherly Drive at approximately 11 p.m. when her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a Dodge Caliber driven by Richard Jennings, 46, of Ellenwood.
Walker was killed on impact and Jennings was transported to the Atlanta Medical Center where he is in critical condition, Whitlow said.
Whitlow said there were two unidentified children in Walker’s vehicle, a 14-year-old female who was uninjured and a 19-year-old female who was transported to the Piedmont-Fayette Hospital and is in stable condition.
The Fayetteville Police Dept. Traffic Team and the Peachtree City Police Department Traffic Unit are investigating the accident.
