“Breakfast with Santa” returns to Tyrone on Sat., Dec. 6, 8:30–11:00 am, at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone. The pancake breakfast will raise funds for the school’s choral program. Photo/Submitted.Girl Scout Cadettes, Ana Hall and Mallory Plunkett, from Service Unit 617 in Fayette County are hosting a community cleanup project at the Line Creek Nature Area to complete their Girl Scout Silver Award Project Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. until noon.

The girls have spent approximately 50 hours researching and planning for this community service project day. They are grateful for the help of their Community Project Advisor, Pam Young, from Southern Conservation Trust and Al Yougel, from Keep Peachtree City Beautiful, as well as their families and troop leaders.

By bringing awareness to the community, they hope their hard work will make a difference in the ecological safety and preservation of the Line Creek Nature Area for many years to come. The girls are looking for volunteers of all ages to partner with this Saturday. Supplies are provided by Keep PTC Beautiful.

Students can receive service hours from organizations such as Beta Club, Interact and Scouting by participating in this community event.

The community is invited to please “Meet us at the Creek” Saturday to help make a difference and “Keep Peachtree City Beautiful.”
