The Citizen continues its mission to highlight the best and brightest athletes in our community with our Athletes of the Week feature, proudly sponsored by Mahaffey Linkous Orthodontics. Each week, we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and achievements of student-athletes across local high schools as well as student athletes from community leagues.
This week, we’re proud to feature these athletes:
Starr’s Mill High School
Ember Ness
Volleyball
Senior standout Ember Ness is leading the way for Starr’s Mill Volleyball. As the team’s go-to attacker, Ember delivers powerful and strategic swings that consistently put the ball on the floor. She’s already recorded 41 kills—and the season has just begun. Her dominance at the net makes her a player to watch.
East Coweta High School
Dylan Holston
Football
Dylan Holston, a senior cornerback at East Coweta High School, is making an impact on and off the field. A strong student and leader, Dylan excels in the classroom while anchoring the defense on Friday nights. With multiple college offers already on the table, he’s poised for a bright future.
Trinity Christian School
Reese Anderson
Volleyball
Junior outside hitter Reese Anderson is a key contributor for Trinity Christian Volleyball. Through the first five matches of the season, she leads the team in both aces (14) and hitting percentage (.509). Known for her humble, hard-working spirit, Reese sets the tone for her team with her consistent effort and quiet leadership.
Chattahoochee Gold – Peachtree City
Madison Pugh
Swimming
Madison Pugh is a developmental swimmer with Chattahoochee Gold who is making great strides this season. Her confidence is growing with every practice, and it shows in the pool. Madison recently posted personal bests in both the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly, reflecting her hard work and progress.
