0The Prowler, the news website for Starr’s Mill High, piled up awards at the 2022 Georgia Scholastic Press Association (GSPA) Awards.
The staff was honored with three All-Georgia Awards, the highest honor the GSPA gives. Annika Pepper won for Sports Photograph, Caroline Hubbard won for Social Justice Reporting, and Joslyn Weber won for Headline Writing.
Mary Davis earned a Superior rating for Critical Review, and The Prowler earned an overall rating of Superior.
The Prowler also was recognized in the 2022 Quill and Scroll News Media Evaluation international awards. The quartet of Abby Carter, Joslyn Weber, MacKenzie Jadick, and Jessica Doyle earned Honorable Mention in the Single Episode Podcast category.
