0A motorcycle fundraiser to beneift Stage 4 breast cancer victim Kristy Bannister will be held Oct. 6. Christy’s Ride will begin at Great South Harley-Davidson on Ga. Highway 16 in Newnan. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 10 a.m. Riders will travel to Warm Springs where door prizes will be distributed.
Riders will make their way to the Outback Steakhouse in Peachtree City where they will receive a 10 percent discount.
A 41 year-old mom with three teenage children, Christy is a manager at the Outback Steakhouse. The fundraiser is geared to help offset expenses related to Stage 4 breast cancer that has spread again to Christy’s liver.
As for Kristy, it is hard to find someone more upbeat about life. The light in her eyes is unmistakable.
“I find the blessings in life everyday,” Kristy said.
