Coco’s Cupboard is hosting a live 4-hour Facebook event to raise money for animals in need. The fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 10:00 am through 2 pm est. Jordan’s Way will be leading the high-energy and fun-filled event as part of their national tour of shelters.
Jordan’s Way’s mission is to share meaningful animal welfare stories that inspire people to adopt. They do this by creating a buzz around shelters through social media. Their events are well-known for the creative ways they find to bring in donations while entertaining and educating the viewers (think dunk tanks, egging and other escapades). Volunteers from Coco’s and the communities we serve will be on hand to participate in the challenges.
The proceeds of this event will help fund industrial washers and dryers and an animal isolation room in Coco’s Gay, GA schoolhouse, and assist them in covering the medical bills for their rescue animals.
Coco’s Cupboard has operated since 2012 as a foster-based adoption organization. In 2024 alone, Coco’s took in 601 animals (161 dogs and 440 cats) and adopted out 498 animals (175 dogs and 323 cats). Over time, their mission has expanded to include community support programs such as financial assistance for spay/neuter and a food pantry for those in need. In 2020, Coco’s created its sister organization, Tails of Hope (TOH), to provide service dogs and training to those in need. TOH trained and placed 42 service dogs in 2024 to everyone from veterans to first responders to children.
