On Sunday, July 1, the Atlanta Braves hosted a Tribute to the Troops event. Peachtree City native Levi Villars, 22, was among the group of soldiers who attended the event. He and his family were guests in Fox Sports South’s VIP Suite during the Braves vs. Nationals game. More than 150 troops received a heroes’ welcome on the red carpet leading from Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. through the Turner Field Main Gates, when they arrive at Turner Field, cheered on by fans, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, the Braves Tomahawk Team and the Heavy Hitters Drumline.
