A sense of community and generosity is fuel for the Rockets. The Peeples Elementary K-Kid Rocket Leaders volunteered their Saturday at The Bloom Closet to help foster families around Georgia.

The K-Kid Rocket Leaders is a Kiwanis club open to students in 4th and 5th grade who are interested in service and leadership within their school and community. Volunteering at The Bloom Closet was their first act of service within their neighborhood, and the students gave their time to help organize clothing and essential items for the foster children.

“Our hope is that they truly understand what it means to be a leader within the community,” said teacher Emily Miller. “We want them to show respect toward their communities and make the world a better place in which to live.”
