A Lindale man has been arrested in connection with seven commercial burglaries in Peachtree City over a two-year period.

Christopher Lee Lucas, 38, of Circle Drive has been charged with seven counts of felony burglary. He would target businesses along Ga. Highway 54 West and west of Commerce Drive, often taking money from the cash registers, police said.

The incidents were spread out between December 2010 and January 2012 at locations such as Salad Express and Java Tropico, police said.

Lucas is also suspected in a “large number” of commercial burglaries during the same time frame in a number of different jurisdictions stretching between Rome and Columbus, police said.

Peachtree City police worked with the Rome, Ga. police department to arrest Lucas, officials said.

Lindale is just south of Rome in northwest Georgia.
