Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone is inviting men, women and children of all ages to participate in its upcoming “Stop Hunger Now” packaging event scheduled for Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. Members of the church and others will package 10,000 meals for the Stop Hunger Now organization, an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. The last time members of Hopewell participated in one of these events they packaged 10,000 meals in less than an hour.
“It’s a fun, exciting, and a 100 percent worthwhile endeavor,” a spokesperson said. “Everyone in the community is invited to come and help.”
