Continuing an annual tradition, there was a strong local presence at the 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as seven Starr’s Mill High band members performed with the 2022 Macy’s Great American Marching Band.

Panthers selected to participate were Allyssa Daigle, Charlotte Craner, Morgan Arens, Jillian Burke, Sarah Macke, Cole McCarthy, and Andrew Yaeger. For Charlotte and Jillian it was their second consecutive year performing in the parade.

It marked the 11th consecutive year that Starr’s Mill students were invited to join the Macy’s Great American Marching Band.

Each year, more than 3.5 million people in New York City and more than 50 million people at home watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
