Earth Day will be celebrated in a big way Saturday in Fayetteville, as Main Street Fayetteville, Southern Conservation Trust, Fayette County Public Library, and Line Creek Brewing join forces to host themed activities simultaneously in four downtown locations.

Beginning at 11 a.m. and running through 3 p.m., participants will move between City Center Park, Triumph Station, the Fayette County Public Library, Southern Conservation Trust’s Fayette Environmental Education Center, and the Lane Brown Gazebo on the Courthouse Square to explore fresh market and craft vendors, craft making, a plant sale, food trucks and other food vendors, craft beer, sustainability exhibits, live music, and student-led environmental demonstrations.

Outdoor wellness and fitness experiences will include a rock wall and pop-in fitness classes.

The Fayette County Public Library will host a 10 a.m. puppet show at their location as well as crafts, an art contest, and a book sale.

Southern Conservation Trust will host several environmental engagement experiences at their Fayette Environmental Education Center located at 305 Beauregard Boulevard.

In the spirit of Earth Day, please consider walking, biking, or carpooling to this event. Please also bring your own reusable carry bags. Parking will be available at Fayetteville City Hall & City Center Park, the Fayette County Library, and in the vicinity of the Lane Brown Gazebo.
