Fayette Humane Society receives a $10,000 grant to help adoptable pets find people to love.
PEACHTREE CITY, GA—March 20, 2025—Pets are family, offering hope, companionship and unconditional love. By adopting a pet in need, you not only gain happiness, but also help impact your community by easing the burden on overcrowded shelters. To encourage pet adoptions, Fayette Humane Society is hosting events from noon to 4:00 p.m., March 29 and 30, at PetSmart, Highway 54, Peachtree City, as part of PetSmart Charities® National Adoption Week.
PetSmart Charities partners with organizations like Fayette Humane Society to bring adoptable pets into PetSmart stores for meet-and-greets. These events feature pets of various ages, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. Volunteers will help in making ideal matches, considering each adopter’s lifestyle, preferences and compatibility factors like personality and energy level.
“We’re always thrilled when a deserving pet finds its forever home,” said Rick DeLoach, President of Fayette Humane Society. “Last year, we celebrated a significant milestone—800 dogs and cats joined loving families. Every rescue is a cause for celebration, but the journey often comes with challenges.
