The Black History Month Block Party hosted by Cleveland Elementary and Bennett’s Mill Middle was a big hit, bringing the community out for an afternoon of celebration and commemoration.

The walls were covered with student-created art and displays highlighting important figures in Black History. There was a full slate of fun for kids of all ages, from story time in the media center to arts and crafts in the cafeteria to inflatables in the bus loop. Party-By-Design out of Stockbridge provided canvases and paint for a free painting workshop.

There was also live music, trivia games, student performances, and lots of delicious food trucks as part of over 50 vendors offering an array of wares and services.
