Election lessons ignored by Democrats

The 2024 election is over. Hallelujah!

There are lessons to be learned. However, the politicos are not listening. They consider themselves beyond criticism, and the national media always backs them up.

This is not your granddaddy’s Democrat Party. In the modern day, the Democrat National Convention (DNC) identifies as morally superior and beyond reproach.

And then there was Trump

As the Democrat Party began abandoning the working class and bedding down with the finance and tech oligarchs, their arrogance and disdain for anyone not 100 percent onboard with their radicalism with Marxist characteristics grew unbearable.

Some top Republicans also knew how to snub the average Americans, with names like Bush, Cheney, Romney, McCain, and McConnel coming to mind.

We have tried to storm the gates in the past. There was the “Republican Revolution of ‘94” and the “TEA Party” revolution in 2009. Both fizzled because our Congress in Washington, D.C., has a way of blurring the lines and devouring public accountability.

When it seemed we were caught in the quicksand of special interests and control over our federal government, the boisterous Donald Trump entered stage right.

The non-politician Trump, boldly confronting his rivals, able to finance his campaign himself, kicking over the corruption apple cart, appeared like manna from heaven for the orphaned blue-collar workers, ignored minorities, and Republican rebels.

But Trump was a gullible hero. He could not see offensive threats from the left-leaning Department of Justice and intelligence agency leaders. Likewise, he accepted bad advice and appointed a series of old guard faithful to crucial positions.

Trump’s enemies did play dirty. The Russiagate scam orchestrated by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC lasted three long years.

The DOJ/FBI filed phony FISA warrants and withheld evidence regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop evidence on the Biden Crime Family and supplanted rumor and innuendo surrounding a phone conversation Trump had with the president of Ukraine.

To finish off the susceptible Trump, a rogue gain-of-function virus covertly financed with our tax dollars by Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health diminished the positive gains resulting from economic growth.

Miraculously (he said tongue-in-cheek), Joe Biden received more votes in 2020 than any presidential candidate in American history while hiding in his basement.

Poof, Trump was out.

Watching an arrogant opponent destroy itself

My political mantra has always been, “If you hate, you lose.” As a student of the political game, I have witnessed politicians at all levels self-destruct out of jealousy, hate, and arrogance.

Pro tip: Don’t insult and spit at the voters if you want to win an election. You can have a $1 billion campaign fund like Kamala Harris, but you still need enough votes to win.

Insulting behavior is nothing new for the Democrats. You were “deplorable” and a “bitter clinger” from the Barack Obama and Clinton days. Biden added “garbage” to the list.

Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberly Strassel points out that what the Democrats were force-feeding the nation was hard to swallow. “Taxpayer-funded sex-change surgeries for felons. Attempts to regulate cow flatulence. The expectation that fewer police will mean less crime. The 1619 project. Decriminalizing border crossings. Boys competing in girls’ sports. The word ‘Latinx.’ Sizable majorities of Americans think all this is nuts.”

Who is the Democrat’s base now?

There are plenty of “influential” entertainment supporters. Robert De Niro carried on like a madman, saying Trump will be a dictator. Whoopi Goldberg said that new Harris supporter Liz Cheney’s “morals are magnificent.”

Even Taylor Swift, in her sequined leotard, backed Harris. The more the celebrities clamored, the more elitist the Democrats appeared.

Of course, we expected the leftist propagandist Joy Reid to go insanely overboard, explaining it was a “crucial election where one side stands for freedom while the other meets the textbook definition of fascism, namely, a far-right dictatorial regime like Hitler’s Germany or Franco’s Spain or Mussolini.”

To the Democrats’ dismay, Donald Trump also won the national popular vote.

Instead of recognizing that they need to review their radical policies, the Democrats said the minorities were leaving their party due to Republican racism and sexism (you cannot make this stuff up).

Democrat strategist and Obama advisor David Axelrod said, “There were appeals to racism in this [Trump] campaign, and there is racial bias in this country, and there is sexism in this country” (“Axelrod: Racism, sexism partly to blame for Harris defeat,” The Hill, November 6, 2024).

Trump had a dominant performance, outright winning Hispanic men. Young black men moved to the Republican side in record numbers. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough came straight out and announced that black and Hispanic men are “misogynists.” Scarborough thinks, “If you cannot beat them, smear them.”

Gen Z and millennials essentially became a statistical toss-up. Remember Harris’s infamous quote: “What else do we know about this population, 18 through 24? They are stupid.” And they wonder why the young adults are drifting away.

White women also peeled away from the Democrats. Likewise, Trump saw a 50 percent increase in New York’s Jewish vote and easily won in Muslim Dearborn, Michigan.

Trump won heavily Hispanic Miami-Dade County and Starr County, Texas, the most densely Hispanic-populated county in the United States.

Joy Reid, hoping the ignorant among us would believe her, dismissed the minority migration from the leftist ideology, saying, “Florida and that kind of extreme sort of extremist right-wing fascist type government in Florida is using the power of government in a way that is, I would say, openly fascist.”

Wait, Reid is alleging the large minority population in Florida is voting fascist? Miami-Dade County voting fascist? Seriously?

It appears the traditional Democrat base is eroding except for black women, and the excuses do not add up.

Democrat abortion lies

Trump has never said he would restrict access to birth control and IVF treatment. He has openly opposed a national abortion ban, leaving the matter to the individual states.

In his campaign video, Trump says, “Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support the creation of strong, thriving, and healthy American families. I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious baby. My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land, in this case, the law of the state.”

The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg thought the Roe v. Wade decision was wrong to render virtually every abortion restriction in the country illegal.

If you want to kill your baby, you can still do it in the United States. In fact, California and Virginia have seen legislative efforts to allow killing your child up to the point of birth.

Those preferring to have lots of casual, unprotected sex might choose to live in California, Virginia, New York, and other states that have almost no restrictions on killing the child. Incest and rape are covered in most states, including Georgia.

Love him, hate him, but you cannot ignore him

Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy explains on X that the Democrats do not understand, and Trump does. “Exit polls showed that threats to democracy was a top issue. MSN thought that meant votes for Kamala, but turns out it was exactly the opposite. Voters are rejecting censorship, lawfare, and dishonesty. This might be a surprise for Democrats.”

Like Ramaswamy, many Americans are questioning who is acting more like a fascist. The voters in all seven swing states clearly figured it out.

While the Democrats chose to create crude division based on race and identity, Trump’s campaign was grounded in values, policies, and the law.

Trump recognized ordinary people’s problems. He acknowledged the climbing price of groceries and the more than doubled price of taking the kids to McDonald’s. He understands that working-class families need jobs to survive regardless of their race.

While California Governor Gavin Newsom was opposing Proposition 36, an initiative statute that allows felony charges and increased sentences for particular drug and theft crimes that George Soros-backed prosecutors refused to prosecute, Trump said it was past time to bring law and order back.

A whopping 71 percent of Californians agreed with Trump and supported Proposition 36. And those leftist radical politicians supported by Soros were thrown out in local Los Angeles and San Francisco elections.

Even in the most leftist state, the voters are not buying what the Democrats are selling.

Your turn

The people have given Trump a mandate, but the Democrats and the mainstream media will do everything in their power to spin the narratives and tie up legislative and administrative actions in the federal courts.

There will be times when Georgians must rally and let our unresponsive U.S. Senators know that we expect them to pay attention to the mandates approved by the voters. This is especially important for senate approvals for Trump’s appointments.

At the time of this writing, Senator Mitch McConnell is calling for an early election for Senate leadership before Trump’s inauguration, engineering a backstop against Trump.

Of McConnell’s three candidates for majority leader, only Senator Rick Scott of Florida agrees with Trump. With two Democrat senators, Georgia has no vote.
