A new school year is nearly here! The 2024-25 year begins on Monday, August 5, and Fayette County Public Schools is ready to roll.
New Leaders for New Year
There will be 10 new principals this fall:
Cleveland Elementary — Alison Staggs, previously Cleveland Elementary assistant principal
Fayette LIFE Academy — Andrea Cherry-Lee, previously Fayette County High assistant principal
Fayetteville Elementary — Andrew Freeman, previously Starr’s Mill High assistant principal
Flat Rock Middle — Dr. Monica Reckley, previously Fayetteville Elementary principal
JC Booth Middle — Shane Ratliff, previously Starr’s Mill High assistant principal
Kedron Elementary — Lindsay Boyles, previously a principal in Henry County
McIntosh High — Amy Hammock, previously McIntosh High assistant principal
Peeples Elementary — Jeannie Inagawa, previously Cleveland Elementary principal
Rising Starr Middle — Mark Henderson, previously Rising Starr Middle assistant principal
Starr’s Mill High — Jamie Voorhies, previously Kedron Elementary principal
The district office features three new leaders: Allen Leonard is the new Director of Transportation, Maggie Walls is the new Executive Director of Secondary Learning, and Buffy Blodgett is the new Executive Director of Human Resources.
School Day Start Times
The elementary school day begins at 7:40 a.m. and ends at 2:25 p.m. Middle school starts at 8:10 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m. High school begins at 8:35 a.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m.
Meal Prices Stay Same
Student meal prices will remain the same for the upcoming school year. Elementary prices are $3.00 for lunch and Middle/High prices are $3.25. Breakfast is $1.75 at all levels. — Story provided by the Fayette County School System.
