The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) announced that Fayetteville Police Chief Scott Gray was sworn in as the GACP President on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Savannah.

Chief Gray is a 31-year police veteran and has served as the Fayetteville Police Chief for the past seven years. Prior to assuming command of the Fayetteville Police Department, he served as the Captain of the North Precinct with the Henry County Police Department.

Chief Gray holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Troy University and a Master of Science in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University. In addition, he is a graduate of the 243rd Session of the FBI National Academy, Georgia Law Enforcement Command College (Class 58) and Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE).
