Established in 2011, the Harvest for Real Life Fruit Orchard has become a vibrant haven for the community, boasting a variety of plants including blueberry bushes, blackberry vines, grape vines, peach trees, apple trees, pomegranate bushes, plum trees, fig trees, pear trees, and persimmon trees.

One of the orchard’s standout initiatives is the U-Pick 4 Others program, a fun and free activity for families and groups who want to make a difference in their community. All the produce harvested goes directly to the families served by the Real Life Center and is distributed weekly through their Market.

Fresh, nutritious food can be hard to come by on a limited budget, making the Orchard and Garden — and the volunteer efforts — truly invaluable to those in our local community.

The Rotary Club of Peachtree City had an opportunity to volunteer on Saturday morning as a testament to this, as participants each picked an average of 5 pounds of blueberries, enough to serve over 150 families!

The Rotary Club of Peachtree City extends our heartfelt thanks to the Real Life Center for allowing us to participate once again. Their mission to provide fresh produce to those in need is a cause worth supporting.

There are still volunteer slots available on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the next few weeks.
