A motorist who decided to spit on a Peachtree City police officer got a free ride to Fayette County Jail.

Police stopped a Chevrolet Cobalt on the morning of Dec. 20 on City Circle for multiple traffic violations. Probable cause was established to search the car and the driver got out but refused to cooperate with officers, so she was detained.

The driver spit in the face of an officer while being placed in the back seat of the police car. She was transported to jail for that as well as additional traffic charges.

Ciarra Nzima-Fudd, 23, of Fairburn faces charges of simple battery against police, a brake light/turn signal violation, an obscured/missing license plate and a seat belt violation, according to the jail log.
