A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Jonesboro man on multiple felony charges and the seizure of a significant amount of drugs.

Officials with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office released information on its social media platforms related to the Dec. 2 incident, in which a vehicle was stopped in the area of Hwy. 279 and Hwy. 314.

Deputies discovered that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of 10.8 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy), 13.9 grams of cocaine and 44.1 grams of marijuana. Also found were a variety of accessories such as 11 empty baggies for packaging the drugs, two scales, an empty soft drink can used to conceal drugs, and a Glock 20 10-millimeter handgun, officials said.

Roland Williams, 43, faces six felony drug charges along with two other felonies — possession of a firearm or knife in commission of a crime and possession of an altered serial number drug. Other charges include possession/use of drug-related objects and driving with a suspended license
