As of Monday afternoon, November 27, City of Fayetteville officials said they still plan to hold the annual Miracle on Main Street Christmas Market + Parade on Saturday afternoon and evening, December 2. However, they have also set December 9 as a backup date, just in case the forecasted rain comes true this weekend.

Any official decision to postpone Miracle on Main Street will be made and published by Friday morning, December 1. The news will be posted on all of the City’s social media channels as well as www.downtownfayetteville.org andwww.fayetteville-ga.gov.

Whether on December 2 or December 9, Miracle on Main Street will begin at 5 p.m. with the annual Christmas Parade through Downtown Fayetteville, including around the Historic Courthouse Square and City Center Park, and it will continue with the Christmas Market 5:30-9 p.m. at City Center Park. A fireworks show will begin at 8:30, which will be best viewed from City Center Park.

The Christmas Market in the park will feature visits with Santa and the Grinch, retail vendors, and other seasonal festivities.

Another highlight to this year’s Miracle on Main Street will be the raffle drawing for a brand-new 2023 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Raffle tickets, which are limited to 1,000 for sale, are $100 each. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales will help the Fayetteville Fire Department with several Fire Safety Education initiatives as well as supporting the efforts of The Eden Project, which offers much-needed support to military veterans reintegrating to civilian life. Tickets are sold through The Eden Project’s website at www.eden-project.com/raffle.
