Inman shapes up knowledge of shapes

The Eagles are building something fun. Students in the 1st grade class of Taylor Childs at Inman Elementary brought their knowledge of shapes to life by making 3D structures.

The class has been working on distinguishing between 2D and 3D shapes using their attributes. The students became shape detectives and found objects that matched the attributes. The culminating activity was to make their own 3D shapes using marshmallows and toothpicks.
