The Fayette Humane Society (FHS) is hosting its 6th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes in concert with Harry Norman, REALTORS from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on December 4, 2022. The tour will feature five homes in Fayette County that will open their doors to showcase their architecture and holiday décor.
In addition to participating musicians and culinary businesses, several homes
are paired with local designers to add a festive flair. The homes on this year’s tour are distinctively unique, yet the holiday vision behind each one is the same: creating welcoming environments that display the things the homeowners love and
value.
Among the homes are a Craftsman-style abode embellished with whimsy; a charming modern farmhouse that sits atop 12 wooded acres; an antebellum spread representing 18th century formality; a traditional home displaying stunning treasures from around the world, and a Charleston-inspired home with understated touches of elegant brilliance.
“Last year we netted over $22,000 from the tour to build a better future for the needy animals within our community, and we’re hoping to surpass that number this year,” says Lucy Hess, who co-chairs the event with Penny Molis.
As always, 100% of proceeds from the tour will go directly to fund the FHS spay and neuter
program and to pay for medical treatments of the animals in its care. Since its beginnings in 1973, the FHS is the oldest humane organization in Fayette County and is a nonprofit animal rescue group staffed entirely by volunteers.
It does not have a shelter, so the animals live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. Prior to adoption, they are examined for health issues by veterinarians, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
Tickets are available for $40.00 per person at Harry Norman, REALTORS, Suite 110, 665 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City.
