A burglary reported on Oct. 27 at a self-storage company in Peachtree City resulted in numerous items, including firearms, stolen from 32 storage units and a trailer.
Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Chris Hyatt said the burglary was reported on Oct. 27 at Store Here Self Storage on Huddleston Road on the city’s west side.
In total, 32 storage units were entered, along with one trailer, Hyatt said, adding that multiple items were stolen, including firearms.
As is the case with all burglaries, the case is under investigation.
Another burglary, this one in Fayetteville, was reported at Cabinet Transformations on West Lanier Avenue.
Reported on Oct. 31, Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Francis said entry was made by way of a warehouse area that was under construction.
Francis said the business reported a number of tools stolen.
In unincorporated Fayette County, there was an entering auto incident and a vehicle theft reported at residences on the county’s north side.
The entering auto occurred on Town Lane at the Kenwood Landing Mobile Home Park off Milam Road, where prescription medication was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Sheriff Barry Babb said the owner noted that the meds were on the front passenger seat.
Also on Town Lane, the owner of a white 2005 Chrysler 300 reported the vehicle stolen.
Babb said the owner reported that she had arranged for the vehicle to be towed to a repair business located at a residence in Union City. She maintained that the vehicle had been towed but did not arrive at the repair location.
