A Stockbridge woman may have thought she could walk into someone’s home, steal the car keys and a purse and then the vehicle in the driveway and get away clean. She was wrong.
Amanda L. Ray, 35, was charged with burglary, theft by taking, theft by receiving and financial transaction card theft, according to Fayette County Jail records.
Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies on Sept. 3 were called to a residence on Ga. Highway 314 in reference to a stolen vehicle.
Deputies learned that the homeowner had been working in the yard and, when coming back to the house, found the door open and her purse missing. She then found that her car was missing, Babb said.
Deputies used home video to get a description of the woman in the house and car.
Based on an alert to law enforcement, South Fulton police located the vehicle near Ga. Highways 138 and 314, and took Ray into custody, said Babb.
Ray was also found to be in possession of multiple credit cards belonging to other victims, Babb said.
My Gawd’ another person with “Colored” hair committing crime!
Please…please …someone see the humor somewhere in this.
