The Fayetteville Police Department will host its first-ever Cookie with a Cop event Saturday, July 23, at City Center Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bring the kids, bring the family, and Publix Super Market at Summit Point will bring the cookies. Fayetteville Police Department vehicles will be on display, and police officers will be there talking with residents and guests.

While this is a kid-oriented event, grownups are welcome to enjoy a cookie and conversation, too.

Also happening at 11 a.m. that morning is the next Fitness in the Park workout hosted by Main Street Fayetteville and BGB CrossFit. Participants are expected to have burned off plenty of calories to deserve a Publix Bakery treat.

Fitness in the Park will take place on the Great Lawn, and Cookie with a Cop will take place at the playground.
