Santa Claus is coming to Fayetteville on Tuesday, Dec. 8, and children are invited to visit with him live during a special 6-8 p.m. online event.
Children supervised by parents or guardians will enjoy a two-minute video conference session with Santa hosted by the City of Fayetteville. Grownups are encouraged to register their children early and be online and ready to participate before the start time.
Santa was scheduled to visit with children during the Dec. 5 Christmas on Main Street event, which was cancelled due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in Georgia.
“I was disappointed to miss that opportunity to visit with the children of Fayetteville in person,” Santa said. “I thought the next best thing would be to visit with them using virtual-meeting technology.”
“We are thrilled to have Santa visit with us on Tuesday,” said Mayor Ed Johnson. “We’ll be sure to have plenty of milk and cookies ready for him and carrots for his reindeer.”
