Roundabout coming to intersection of New Hope and Brogdon roads

The Fayette County Commission on June 13 authorized county staff to acquire the right-of-way needed for the proposed roundabout at New Hope Road and Brogdon Road in north Fayette. The project will be funded by SPLOST (special purpose local option sales tax) revenues.

The intersection was approved by commissioners for conversion to a roundabout in August 2018.

Design work is nearing completion and the right-of-way plans are final, county staff said.

The 4-0 vote authorized staff to acquire all fee simple right-of-way, easements and appraisals for the proposed roundabout at the intersection of New Hope and Brogdon roads.
