Kathryn Wingate Pope and Geoffrey Ian Gillon, both of Atlanta, Ga., were united in marriage on Oct. 26, 2017, atop Mt. Roy, Wanaka, New Zealand.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Cleveland Pope (George and Beth) of Fayetteville, Ga. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Minson Pope of Clinton, N.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willis Goodwin Barrett of Sanford, N.C.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and is employed as a Senior Financial Analyst in Atlanta, Ga. She earned her designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2015.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clive Jeffrey Gillon (Clive and Catherine) of Cumming, Ga. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Clifford Gillon of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ian Leman Phillips of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is employed as a controller in Atlanta, Ga. He earned his designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 2010.
The couple honeymooned in Australia and Fiji, following their wedding in New Zealand.
On Nov. 19, 2017, the parents hosted a small reception at Venkman’s in Atlanta upon the couples’ return from their wedding trip. The couple currently resides in the historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood in Atlanta.
