Filming of “The Walking Dead’ will continue until at least 2021.

That’s the word from Senoia Mayor Jeff Fisher who confirmed America’s favorite zombies will continue filming in the bustling eastern Coweta city. Additionally, the studio plans to build a 55-ft. windmill on the Gin Property, which doubles as Alexandria in the hit AMC series.

Fisher said the studio would have to get a variance because of the structure’s height, but said that was something the city’s fire marshal could handle, and would not have to go to the city’s planning commission.

The filming of the show has created an economic boon for the city, and most weekends see a few zombies walking through the streets. Fisher reminded potential zombies that they need a permit to walk the city. The permit is $1 and 10 zombies are allowed per day, Fisher added, to keep the town from being overrun by zombies.
