Don Armel Kuebler, Jr., Peachtree City, age 95, died March 21, 2018, following a short illness. He was born January 22, 1923 to Don Armel Kuebler and Eva Perkins in St. Louis, Mo.
Don married Mary Margery (Molly) Wilson on August 20, 1947 who survives of the home. To their marriage, four children were born, John W. Kuebler (Barbara) of Jefferson City, Mo.; Jeffrey Armel Kuebler (Susan) of Marietta, Ga.; James Edward Kuebler of Senoia, Ga.; and Don Armel (Joe) Kuebler III (Elizabeth) of Peachtree City, Ga. They have seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Kuebler Treadwell.
Don was educated at the University of Kansas and earned a bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II serving in Europe and in China, Burma, India flying “the Hump,” in the United States Air Force in the Korean conflict remaining on active duty and graduating from the USAF Experimental Test Pilot School. He served in the USAF Reserves serving in the Viet Nam conflict. Don served as a flight test engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration for 32 years performing certification testing of many different aircraft ranging from the first Lear Jet to hot air balloons.
Don was a familiar face on several golf courses shooting his age several times.
The family held a private celebration on March 25, 2018.
