Fayette County and Coweta County schools will be closed Monday.
Both schools systems Sunday night advised that schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 8 due to expected winter weather conditions.
The decision to close schools was made in the interest of the safety of students and employees, and follows a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service.
