Mrs. Betty Ruth Slepicka, age 93, of Peachtree City, Ga. peacefully passed away at home Saturday, November 25, 2017.
She was born on August 4, 1924 in Bruning, Neb.
Betty is survived by her daughter Gail Slepicka, and her son Gary Slepicka and daughter-in-law Jane of PTC; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Slepicka and wife Beth of PTC, and Sherri Sarckees and husband Ray of Kenosha, Wis.. Great-grandchildren, Joshua, Christian, Noah and Rachel Slepicka and Ryan Ludwig. Sister-in-laws Evalyn Slepicka and Dorothy Stych of Nebraska. Also, nieces, nephews and other family members. She treasured her friends, and so enjoyed her visits on the phone with Nebraskan’s Marge Kuska, Beth Garrison, Ruby Hinricks, Evalyn and Dorothy.
Her sisters, Shirley Mathies and Arlene Harris, and her brother Dale Stetina preceded her in death.
Betty was married to Irvin Milo Slepicka from Dec. 1942 until his death in Dec. 1999, She will be inurned next to Irvin at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. at a later special date .
Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home and Crematory, Peachtree City was in charge of arrangements.
