The Rotary Club of Peachtree City’s “Get Out the Vote” Committee will sponsor a “Political Candidates Forum” Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Peachtree City Hotel & Conference Center (formerly the Wyndham) in the Caledonian Amphitheater.
This year’s forum with questions and answers starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. Opportunities to meet and greet the candidates follows the forum.
Following established transition with a slight twist, the political forum will be moderated by a Rotarian and a three-person panel of Rotarians including a community business leader who will field questions provided by the audience to the candidates. Only issue-related questions will be accepted for presentation to the candidates.
Rotarians and the public are urged to attend and meet the candidates to become informed about them and their platforms. This is an opportunity to meet and greet candidates for the upcoming municipal election.
The candidates are as follows:
For Peachtree City mayor: Vanessa Fleisch (incumbent), Eric Imker and Dar Thompson.
Peachtree City Council Post 3: Harold Logsdon, Kevin Madden and Sarah Toussaint.
Peachtree City Council Post 4: Terry L. Ernst (incumbent). He has no opposition.

Advance in-person voting (early voting) in Peachtree City, Tyrone and Fayetteville starts Monday, Oct. 16,and ends Friday, Nov. 3.
Early polling or voting locations will be located at the second-floor Elections Office in the Fayette County Administrative Complex in Fayetteville, Peachtree City Library and Tyrone Town Hall. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m. to 7 p.m.
