Olivet’s anniversary celebration kicks off tonight

The Olivet Church in Fayetteville will kick off its month-long 26th Church Anniversary celebration tonight with a Wednesday night service at 7 p.m. Special guest speaker will be Dr. Maurice Watson from Maryland.

Activities planned during the month include Olivet’s Family Game Night, Annual Prayer Breakfast, Community Health Fair, and Church Bazaar. Events will culminate with Olivet’s 26th Anniversary celebration on Sunday, Sept. 24.

The theme this year is “The Olivet Church: Celebrating 26 Years of Impactful Ministry, Illuminating the Word, Inspiring People and Igniting Change.” The scripture reference is: Ephesians 4:12 NKJV.

Wednesday night services are at 7 p.m. Speakers for the coming weeks will be:

Wednesday, Sept 6: Dr. Maurice Watson from Metropolitan Baptist Church in Largo Md.;

Wednesday, Sept. 13: Pastor Carlos Kelly from Beulahland Bible Church in Macon;

Wednesday, Sept. 20: Pastor Arthur Jackson III from Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, Fla.; and

Wednesday, Sept. 27: Dr. Ralph West from the Church Without Walls, Houston, Texas.

Saturday, Sept. 9: Community Health Fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring blood pressure screening, eye exams, cholesterol testing and many other health screenings. Weight maintenance and fire fighters will be on site. The event is open to the public;

Saturday, Sept. 9, Church Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., open to the public. Find fashion accessories and other products from local small business owners.

Saturday, Sept. 16: Olivet Church Prayer Breakfast, 10 a.m. at Flat Creek Country Club, 100 Flat Creek Rd. in Peachtree City. Tickets are $14 (12 and under); $25 (13 and up). Led by Olivet’s pastor, the Rev. Dr. William Holmes Robinson and featuring Olivet’s  children and youth ministry

Friday, Sept. 22 – An exciting evening of family fun beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come out and play Kahoot! Bring cell phones and tablets for scoring and receive prizes galore.

Sunday, Sept. 24: Activities will culminate with Olivet’s 26th church anniversary services Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8 and 11 a.m., led by guest speaker Pastor Keith Norman from First Baptist Church-Broad, Memphis, Tenn.

Olivet is located in North Fayetteville at 877 Ga. Highway 314 North. The servant/pastor/teacher is the Rev. Dr. William Holmes Robinson.
