At right, the familiar chimes will soon ring again through Senoia’s historic downtown. A grassroots effort to repair the clock started with a Go Fund me account that has received more than $5,000 in donations. Businessman Jim Preece researched the history of the clock, and learned it was a Hurricane Katrina survivor. The clock stood outside a bank building in Mississippi, but survived the crash of the building. The clock made its way to Senoia and now needs $11,000 to get it ringing again. Photo/John Thompson.
