Christ Our Shepherd to host special Lenten services, groups

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will offer special services and study groups for the season of Lent, the weeks leading up to Easter.

“Why?” is the theme for the season, inviting reflection on basic Christian beliefs.

“Why God?” will be discussed on Wednesday in a worship service from 6:30 – 7 p.m.,  and in small groups from 7 – 7:30 p.m. at the church. Linda Blench will be the guest speaker for worship. Supper is available before the service from 5:30-6:30, for a nominal cost; for the menu and reservations, call 770-487-8717.

March 12 begins a week of considering “Why Jesus?” Intern Pastor Jonathan Trapp will preach at the four weekend services. Discussion groups will consider the question at 9:40 a.m. Sunday mornings.
