The Fayetteville Flash Foods store at the intersection of Ga. highways 85 and 314 was the scene of an armed robbery in the early morning hours of Feb. 7.

Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said a store employee was sweeping the parking lot at approximately 1:30 a.m. when she was approached by a white male wearing all black clothing, black gloves and sunglasses and a black spandex riding mask. The man’s black hoodie contained portions of a lime green color, Whitlow said. The man said, “I have a gun. You’re being robbed,” Whitlow noted.

The employee was taken into the store, removed cash from the register and handed it to the man, Whitlow said.

The robber ran on foot toward Hwy. 314, said Whitlow.

Whitlow said the employee was not physically harmed in the incident.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video and speaking with witnesses. Anyone with information concerning this robbery is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.
