Local students helped organize and participated in a 24-hour livestream event to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
After weeks of preparation, Davis Murphy and his friend Ryan Spiecha gathered numerous friends together Dec. 22-23 to put on an event consisting of various entertainment segments such as video games, storytelling, and a “Bob Ross Painting Hour” with the artwork raffled off to one of the donors.
At the end of the livestream, the students raised a total of $880 for AFSP and also raised awareness for the services of this nonprofit foundation dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.
