Peachtree City residents’ golf cart renewal bills have been mailed, and city officials recommend that the process be completed online. The web address is www.peachtree-city.org/carts.
City staff reported Tuesday that there were lines most of the day at City Hall, while more than 400 golf cart owners paid online.
Peachtree City golf cart owners will pay $45 ($15 per year for three years) and will receive green stickers, valid for 2017-2019, to go beside the existing white numbered decals.
Here are some answers to frequently answered questions regarding the online process.
The “Pay Online” link on the city’s website will take users to the vendor’s (Third Millennium) online payment page. If you received a bill for your cart, select “Purchase Existing Golf Cart Decal” to verify your cart information and pay.
Make sure to enter your decal # as it is listed on the bill (do not include the initial “0”s if your number is lower than 10000 and the Golf Cart ID that is located above the bar code to the right of your address.
The format of the three-year decals does not allow the city to pro-rate payments or give refunds. The ordinance specifies that the registration stickers transfer with the cart and the costs should be factored into the sales price of the cart.
If you did not receive a bill for a cart you own, send an email to [email protected] with your name and decal number so city staff can check the system and issue the bill. Golf cart owners who moved without notifying the city will not receive a bill, but it can be reissued.
If you received a bill for a cart you no longer own, email the city at the above address with your name, address, decal number (if you have it) or a description of the cart so the data can be updated.
