The Flat Rock Middle School Symphonic Band, led by band director Matthew Price, submitted recordings throughout the Southeast and were chosen to represent the community at several events.

The Symphonic band was invited through competitive audition to be the Exemplary Performing Band at Reinhart University last week, and was also invited to the Southeastern United States Band Clinic at Troy University (Dec. 2), the University of Georgia Midfest Band Clinic (Dec. 8), and the University of Alabama Honor Band Clinic (Dec. 9).

The Flat Rock bands’ winter concert is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at Sandy Creek High School Patriot Hall. Admission is free.
