Fine Arts And Crafts Entrepreneurs (FAACE) hosted the Magnolia Fine Arts Festival Oct. 22-23 in Peachtree City. Its purpose was stated as “bringing together artists from various disciplines to share their gifts, with the goal to create and grow a quality fine art event south of Atlanta in Fayette County.”

For six years, FAACE has conducted smaller art shows in Peachtree City to benefit several charities, while its members travelled throughout the United States seeking an audience for their talents on a larger scale. According to organizers, they saw a need to create a fine art show south of Atlanta providing an opportunity for members to share their art with the community.

FAACE approached Kate Hawkins (Saville Studios) and Patsy Gullet (The Fayette Fine Art Show, aka The Old Courthouse Art Show) to partner with them.

The show was designed by artists for artists and was full of amenities (awards and recognitions, meals, and more) for the artists and visitors (live entertainment, great parking, indoor powder rooms, and more).

The 2016 “Best in Show” Award was presented to Daryl Rickard for woodworking.  He is a local veterinary physician that surprised his clients when they happened to attend and saw his astonishing woodwork.

“With more than 50 visual artists and 30 performing artists participating in the event; it was destined to create synergy and inspiration for those that attended,” according to a spokesperson. “Visitors were invited to join artists on the lawn and draw while basking in the warmth of the sunlight and October breeze. It was an experience that many will treasure until next October.”
