The Department of Driver Services (DDS) facility at 278 McElroy Road in Fayetteville will be closed Saturday, Oct 15, and will re-open at its new location Tuesday, Oct 18.
The new location is 749 West Lanier Ave, Suite 102, in Fayetteville.
Operating hours are 8 a.m-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday.
The new center is approximately four miles from the current location and is reported to have many improvements including a spacious and modern design with plenty of room for customers to navigate the process efficiently as well as an increase in computer testing stations. The facility incorporates technology such as utilizing kiosks for self-serve lobby management along with DDS computer-based application/paperwork process to replace the typical paper-clipboard system.
Customers are urged to visit www.dds.ga.gov and complete the necessary forms and paperwork before arriving at the new location. This will help speed up your visit.
