The week of Oct. 4-10 came with two burglaries and 11 entering auto incidents across portions of Fayette County.
An Oct. 5 burglary at a Gilbert Road residence off Banks Road occurred between 6:30-8:30 p.m., according to Sheriff Barry Babb.
Babb said a bedroom window was broken and three guns, a computer and a cell phone were stolen.
An Oct. 4 burglary occurred at the MS Food mart on North Glynn Street in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said two suspects entered the store at approximately 6:30 a.m., triggering an alarm call.
Officers arriving at the scene found entrance gained by a rock thrown through the front door glass. Lottery tickets and cigarettes were stolen, Whitlow said.
Two entering auto incidents in unincorporated Fayette County during the one-week period resulted in one person arrested and other arrests pending.
Both occurring on Oct. 5, one of the entries was at a residence on Hilo Road while the other was at a residence on Park Hill Lane, both off Ga. Highway 92 South.
Four pairs of sunglasses were stolen from one vehicle while a handgun was stolen from the other. Both vehicles were unlocked, Babb said.
Javaris Henley, 23, of Griffin, was arrested and charged with two counts of entering auto and two counts of party to a crime, Babb said, adding that other arrests are pending.
There were nine other entering auto incidents during the period that occurred at residences in the area of County Line Road and McDonough Road in east Fayette County.
Each of the incidents was reported in the morning hours of Oct. 6, said Babb.
Five of the incidents were on Ravens Landing, three were on Rocky Fork Boulevard and one occurred on Kellens Court.
Eight of the nine thefts were from unlocked vehicles, Babb noted.
Among the items stolen were in-dash stereos, laptop computers, a generator, cordless drill, a pressure washer, a generator and a tool bag.
The only entry where a locked vehicle was involved resulted in a stereo, speakers and an amplifier stolen after a passenger window was broken.
