Fayette County voters, who are some of the most active voters in the region, and want to get a head start on the election have their chance starting Oct.17
From Oct.17-Nov.4, from Monday through Friday, early voting by person takes place at three locations in Fayette County; the county’s elections office at Stonewall Avenue in Fayetteville, the Peachtree City Library and Tyrone Town Hall from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Additional advanced in person voting runs Oct.24- Nov.4. Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fayette County Commissioners’ meeting room and Saturday, Oct. 29 at the elections office and meeting room in Fayetteville from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Fayette’s love of voting is depicted in a recent report published by the Atlanta Regional commission. In the 23-county region covered by the study, Fayette County had the highest average turnout in the metro Atlanta area during the last three presidential elections with 82.6 percent of those registered casting ballots.
